Social Listening

Fenty x Puma

The value this brand holds is that it's ran by pop star Rihanna. The value proposition it has as a brand is to provide the most comfortable yet fashionable clothing through Puma's company. Rihanna gives her own touch to the clothing and shoes, by making it remarkable and unique. She promotes her clothing by wearing it and showing it off on social media.  Since Rihanna is seen as a cultural icon to a lot of people, being exposed to this on the media is the way she markets her brand.  A lot of celebrities also wear her clothing and/or support it. For example, Kanye West tweeted this:

Some consumers have even posted on twitter how they would go broke for FentyxPuma. Others have to disagree and think some of the products she comes out with are ridiculous.

The new collection she has been promoting will drop May 3rd. It includes new sneakers, boots, race car themed clothing, and much more. She recently posted an Instagram picture of herself wearing the new boots she will drop. This picture received a lot of positive feedback and pumped up the fans to shop.

The reason so many people are attracted to her brand is because of the different styles she releases. Her brand can not be compared to anyone else's because there is nothing like it. The disadvantage is that because of such high demand, a lot of items sell out quickly. Although items sell out fast, consumers are still willing to settle for different colors of the same item, or as well as waiting their turn until the next drop.

Rihanna seems to have no problem marketing her brand. Rihanna's team uses different environments to fit into the theme of her clothing for her photoshoots. For example,  I would've never thought of wearing race-car themed clothing, until FentyxPuma promoted it on the race track.  She then uses social media as a marketing strategy to show it off. If I were the brand manager, I would continue to use social media to build customer loyalty. I would in addition, help customers with their website issues if they're tweeting about it. I would respond respectfully and quickly because it seems that the brand itself is fast-paced with all the new products they're constantly dropping.
